Peak has been a force for the Indians for two seasons (played varsity as an 8th grader) and he's already considered the top prospect in-state for 2014.

Freshman season: Averaged 24 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists. Helped lead team to AAAA state championship game before falling to Jordan Roper led, Irmo.

By Snow...getting interest from Tennessee, South Carolina, Clemson, Georgetown, Marquette, and others but says Purdue and OSU are on him the hardest...moved from South Carolina to Illinois.

Scout and ESPN list an OSU offer, Rivals does not...

L.J. Peak Has a Top 5
May 30th, 2013

L.J. Peak has a top five.

The 6-foot-5 2014 small forward from Gaffney (S.C.) Tweeted his top five were South Carolina, Georgetown, Ohio State, Florida State and UConn.

This past season, Peak helped lead Chicago Whitney Young to the Class 4A sectional finals and a Top 10 national ranking. He has since returned home to Gaffney for his senior season.

Peak runs with the CP3 All-Stars, who also feature North Carolina-bound wingTheo Pinson of High Point (S.C.) Wesleyan Christian, Wake Forest-bound point guard Shelton Mitchell and power forward Gary Clark.

?He?s very good,? CP3 coach Steve Shelton told SNY.tv of Peak. ?He?s always played inside because of his height. He?s only been playing on the perimeter the last two years.?

Shelton said Peak has unofficially visited South Carolina and has no officials scheduled yet.

He has had OSU @ the top or near the top of his list since last year. I think the move back to SC is telling and OSU seemingly done @ the position probably doesn't help either. And he didn't even have SC in the mix a few months ago to my knowledge (thought he was down to OSU, FSU and Purdue) Now has them in his top 5, dropped Purdue and added G-town and UConn to the list.

Maybe I just read a list of the teams that was recruiting him the hardest and OSU wasn't on the list. Just seems strange that he has OSU on his list and I don't think any other wing players in the class have OSU on their list. I wouldn't call Lyle a wing - from what I gather he's a ball-dominant PG similar to ET in that regard. And Black is a 4 no doubt.
