#15 Indiana 81, #18 Ohio State 79 (final)

Honestly, Terwilliger had one of the worst games I've ever seen today.

He played at least 15-20 minutes of the game...he had 0 points, 2 rebounds, 4 fouls, and 4 turnovers.

I would've rather they just had a small lineup on the floor for the final shot.

I was a little disappointed with Mayes's play today:

1-7 from the field, 1 rebound, 0 assists, 1 steal, and 2 fouls

Terwilliger should've been on the line shooting three at the end there. It looked pretty clear after going back in slo-mo that his arm was hacked. Oh well, gotta expect that in Assembly Hall.

It looked pretty clear to me that it was all ball. Don't you think if it was a foul right in front of the Buckeye bench, the coaches and team would've been going nuts? Instead they just put their heads down and walked off the court.

Sears has a point, but man...this was winnable. I can't say I agree with Sully inbounding there - I would have preferred JBut - but whatever. They played a monster team, in their house, and they played them tough. Not sure why, but somehow I feel like we would have won if Syl had been on the floor.

Ah well. On we go. Let's tear Purdue a new one.

I don't necessarily agree. At that point, nothing's going to be done to reverse the call, so if our players and coaches chased the refs as they ran off the court, it would've just made us look bad.

I place the blame for this loss on Matta and the coaching staff. They have got to be able to devise a game plan to hold a 17 point lead on the road. And you've got to be able to draw up a last second play that consists of more than throwing the ball to your center in three point land. That was pathetic.

You win as a team and lose as a team. Don't let your emotions show. Execution was the key today and they made some key shots and got some huge calls down the stretch at home. We played hard, great game. Lets hope we get another shot at them in the Big 10 tourney.

Give some credit to the Hoosiers. They could have folded up after being down by 17, but they clawed their way back behind some hot shooting.

Hopefully we'll get another shot at them in the Big 10 tourney.

You're right about them making some huge shots. But I wonder if they really did get the calls. I agree that I was very upset with some of their calls at first glance, but I think that there's always going to be some bad calls and some calls that aren't that bad but they just seem worse b/c they go against our team. Thus, I could be wrong, but I'm not sure we can really blame this loss on the officiating.

Exactly. And regarding the shot, go back and look at it in slow motion. Twig's arm comes right down with the defender's arm, as the ball continues up.

No, I don't think we can blame it on them either. There were certainly questionable calls, but it was a tough game.

(And IU are still wusses for setting a back screen to flop out a 5th foul on Dials. :p)

I agree, I hated to see the outcome of the game w/ 9 seconds to go determined by a foul and 2 free throws, but the fact of the matter is, is Dials ran over the screen. Now I guess you could argue it was a moving screen or whatever, but the bottomline is, is that the ref has to make a call in that situation when three guys are laying on the floor on an inbound pass. I think the frustration of seeing the game end on such a play is why some people are calling it poor officiating. I just look at it as a disappointing call, not necessarily a bad one.

I am not blaming this loss on officiating, just merely saying they were on the receiving end of some huge calls down the stretch. It was a great effort on the road and especially by Dials who played with foul trouble most of the game.

Next game is on the road against Purdue. We will be favored and the better team.
