#15 UC-Santa Barbara +16.5 vs #2 tOSU (ov/un 132.5) Fri 9:45 ET, CBS

A "W" is a "W." Advance and move on fellas.

Diebs and Buford were a combined 14-25 from the field. Those two came up huge tonight.

Dallas was a beast on defense. Lovin' that! Madsen had been getting more PT than Dallas and it was almost like Dallas had just had about enough of that. LOL!

Nice to see PJ make an appearance. I wondered earlier if Matta shouldn't have brought PJ in and moved Evan off the ball. It might've at least been worth a try with as frustrated as ET looked out there. From what I've seen from ET this year, I think he'll come out fired up next game.

what i want to see from osu against ucsb:

1. no injuries (duh). more specifically, i want to see a healthy team that is unaffected by the week's bout with the bug.

2. the shooters to be "on." most importantly, i want to see diebler hit his shots with better than 40% accuracy from distance. the competition will be weak, but a long range shooter can gain plenty of confidence by hitting against anyone.

3. lauderdale with a big night. we need the big guy to regain some confidence. his defense will generally be solid, but his offense has spiraled downward the last couple weeks.

4. spare minutes for the the four guards/forwards. i hope to see plenty of simmons, hill, kecman, and sarikopoulous in the second half. if our starters tally about 28 minutes apiece, i will be happy.
items 1, 2, and 3 were satisfied. heck, 2 and 3 were knocked out of the park.

I put in his thread, but Dallas set a Buckeye record for blocks in an NCAA Tournament game with 8.

Ken Johnson had 7 against St, John's in a vacated game from 1999. Brad Sellers had 9 in an NIT game in 1986.

Big shouts to Jax for my loss on the over... but even more happy than winning vdollars, is watching those who bet against tOSU lose. Roll with the winners, The Ohio State University!

Sorry. :(

UCSB was up tempo all year and good at shooting 3's, I just didn't see the run clock and miss a lot offense coming. Over was the right play, it just didn't happen.

Trust me I hate losing other peoples money more than my own.

I may be in the minority, but I am happy that Turner wasn't able to produce tonight. In his absence everyone else stepped up and filled the gap. They needed to prove to themselves that they can do that.

I think this is what we are going to the rest of the way. Every time ET got the ball inside the arc it seemed he was triple teamed. As long as Evan recognizes this and the other guys do their part we will be fine. The key to our team at this point is not Evan Turner, it is Buford. When he plays within himself and scores points, we are darn near unbeatable.

This is my exact sentiment. It is what makes tOSU such a dangerous team. Turner can have an off night, but other guys will step up and they hardly skip a beat.
