I re-watched the BTCG. There was nothing Sconsin did fancy. We just missed tackles. Fuller alone gave up 125 yards and a TD by missed tackles. If we tackle they are shut out. Our fundamentals has waned. I think the defensive scheme in the 1st half against the Vulverines was terrible. That's on the coaches.

I have watched Clemson and they have a fast defense but they are undersized up front. I think we can maul them on the ground. The TE's need to block very well. If Munford is back 100 percent that will help.

Clemson does not have a better front 7 than PSU. I don't think their run defense is as good as PSU or Sconsin. The overall defense maybe but not versus the run. If we can run from the beginning they will be in trouble in the 2nd half.

We cannot rotate DL as much. Tyler Friday crashed inside for the RB and that's why Coan scored. Our guys have to keep contain. I'd start Young and Cornell at DE. I'd start Togiai and Hamilton inside. I think we have over rotated and we need to tighten that up.

Clemson is gonna score. I think they score over 30. It's likely gonna take 40+ to win.

I hate to say this but Borland against Clemson and LSU scares me. I can see them running crossers,wheels,and hitting the TE in the seam...or Lawrence just juking Borland.

I still favor is in the trenches.

I see two issues, they've been injured, missing 1-2 guys with injury. Meaning instead of all big ten to all American types across most of the secondary, they have green youngsters.

They also have been changing up their deployment, with a guy like Sevyn Banks occasionally the deep guy. That's a big change from having Fuller's experience back there and it shows. Sevyn is more consistent as an outside corner.

One thing that's for sure is there will be multiple posts in this thread every time there's a missed tackle or Clemson Touchdown blaming Hafley for being invloved with BC. Not sure how much of an effect it will actually have.

If things do not go their way, do they know how to rally? I just checked, the last time they had to rally was September 2018. UNC they had to hold off, but that's a very different kind of thing. That is survival.

Holding off PSU at home is very different from getting outclassed by UW for a half in the CCG.

It's easy to gloss over that OSU has only played with a complete secondary in 2 of the last 8 quarters. Doesn't excuse the tackling and poor play in the first half of TTUN/CCGs, but losing your NB/SF and should-be-Thorpe winner CB will have big consequences.

If they have everyone 90-100% and one the same page, it'll go a long way to eliminating the opponent's fast starts we haven't been used to in the last 2 games.

No doubt. I doubt they'd fold, but if you start tightening up or pressing, mistakes will happen. This OSU team might press at times, but I don't think they tighten up and they will not quit. They just won't. And I'm not sure there is any quality you'd rather have in a team.

And yet your program will never be where our program is. We were greater before Clemson, are just as great currently, and we will be greater in the future.

Must eat at you to know that regardless of what happens in 2 weeks in 20 years we will still be a better school and more than likely you'll be irrelevant.
