Didnt you see they need a phantom elbow in OT to win thier game against Charolette @ home on senior day.

Give me a break. Purdue would give those guys a game.

Have GW play our schedule and they are probably a bubble team. But they play in the A-10 and they are fucking #6 in the country and and probably a 2 or 3 seed.

If we are a two seed I would love to have them as the 3 seed with Memphis as the 1 seed.

he threw the elbows. hall grabbed him and didnt let go. and between elbow 1 and 2 through a forearm shiver. personally i was hopping for offsetting fouls or offsetting techs or even throwing both kids out. i just dont believe in letting a call be a decsive factor in a game that for all intent and purpose is over. the reality is the char guy was fouled with the ball before any elbow was thrown....

I couldnt agree more, me and Winslow talked about this early in the thread when we were discussing that game. That was just a horrible way to win.

But it wasnt the worst officiated game that would go to the zaga vs. San Diego game. Zaga also needed OT to beat a sorry ass team.

Honestly, our ranking is nice to look at but at this point in the season, its not going to help us get a better tourney seed or hurt our chances at a #1 seed. I think we should be a few spots higher, but I don't get to vote.:(

I am also very suprised we are not above GW considering they had 2 very close games this past week. OSU had one close game but the teams OSU played are alot better then the ones GW played.

As of right now GW is a #4 seed, thats what ESPN is saying and they are usually pretty close. Last night was the first time i have seen anything about OSU being a possible #1 seed. They were saying if OSU wins the conference tourny they should get a #1 but probably won't. As of right now they don't think OSU is good enough for a #1 seed, and i beg to differ. OSU has:
#4 RPI
#23 SoS
finished outright champs in the #1 RPI conference
ranked #7 in both polls
have big wins vs: Illinios, LSU, Michigan St, Wisconsin, Iowa St
have no bad losses all year

People still think Texas deserves a #1 seed before OSU which is just insane. Hopefully the bracket commitee gets it right and puts us at #1 seed.

Alos last i checked GW had the #320ish SoS and only big win they have was vs Maryland.

Yeah, it's a big MEDIA conspiracy...how can the MEDIA rank us behind GW..."They" gave UNC a #1 vote???....how can they do that?

Oh, wait, it's the coaches poll. Nevermind. :shake:

Media didn't do much better...no #1 for UNC, but there is a #1 for Duke! Go figure...we are still #7

I never thought I'd post this, but Tibor is right. I'm not even sure why they bother with poll rankings in hoops, since they don't have an affect on anything that actually matters.

A Buckeye Planet poll would be about as relevant, and probably more accurate.

The reality is, OSU is at least the fourth or fifth best team in the country right now, and will most likely be either the fourth #1 seed or the first #2 seed. I'm more interested in what region we wind up in than which seed we are. I'm also more interested in seeing how we play on a neutral court in the B10 tournament. This team has put in some extremely solid road performances, and I think that's a good indication that they'll do well in the NCAAs.

Of course, before then, the big deal is winning the B10 tourney, and I think we've got an outstanding shot of doing so. If we do, then a #1 seed should be a lock.

Digger Phelps is a moron. He still has Texas as a #1 seed and can't get off their jock. The guy is a dumbshit, atleast when it comes to judging Texas. Props to Rece Davis, he's giving us some serious props and is always the first to bring us up in the conversation because that numskull Phelps won't.
