Right, I was explaining that they don't trade this years second overall pick for the Knicks pick next year. But they do have the option to trade 1st round picks next year if the Knicks get the higher pick, like you mentioned.

Gotcha.

So what are Dials' chances of getting drafted? Good? Slim? None?

If he has some good workouts, he could improve his stock, but right now it looks like he is not going to be drafted. I have seen him 1 or 2 drafts at about the 58 pick or so, but I have seen him rated in the 90's in terms of top 100 draft prospects.

first mock draft from si.com... has us taking boone in the first which I don't really like... And from the mock draft they have Dee Brown available at our first pick in the 2nd round. If he fell there I would take him in a heartbeat.

They have the Cavs taking three forwards?!

I realize that with Gooden likely to be gone and Z's disappearing act in the playoffs, the Cavs need to find a credible and consistent offensive threat in the post. However, any mock draft that doesn't have the Cavs taking a PG with one of the three picks is garbage.

I think Boone will be better suited to go back to school, his stock is falling and falling fast. I guess his first workout in front of 15 teams, was really bad and alot of scouts are saying he needs another year, unless he is happy with being a second round pick.

I have no problem with taking a forward if it is a guy like Novak or Pittsnogle who can step out and shoot. A role player that can learn from Donyell.

We are not really in need of a starting big guy tho, b/c we have Andy who stepped up and Donyell who can give minutes.

I heard on Mike and Mike this morning that the bulls would be willing to trade the #2 pick for a proven nba big man. Does anybody think the Cavs would be willing to trade Z to the bulls for the #2 spot?

That would be the worst trade in the history of man, if they would trade their #2 pick for Z. I don't even think that we could throw in the rest of our team besides James and they still wouldnt poney up that #2 pick.

I would do it if we could and then I would draft Thomas. Even know he is overhyped a little him and Andy would be great defensive stoppers in the front court and both can run the court and play uptempo. Then try and take a guy like Dee Brown in the second, that is if we would have to give up #25 to the Bulls also.

Another thing to think about is, that the Bulls were looking at Gooden and we could do a sign and trade and send him and Z to you guys. Not sure if the Bulls would like that idea or not, but that would give them two solid big guys and I am sure we would be forced to throw in our #25 also.
