2007 season update:

The Lady Bucks are 12-10 having played every game on the road. The closest the ladies have been to Columbus for a game is Birmingham, Alabama and farthest from home has been Cathedral City, California for the Palm Springs invitational. They have notched wins over national power teams Virginia Tech and #22 Fresno State and #17 Cal. Kim Reeder notched her first collegiate career no-hitter against UAB on March 3rd on the Blazers' home field. Va Tech returned the favor when All American Angela Tincher no-hit the Bucks yesterday. It was Tincher's second no-hitter of the weekend.

All that changes this weekend as the ladies come home for the Buckeye Invitational. The teams visiting are Oakland and Binghamton.

Saturday, March 17th at noon the ladies will face the Binghamton Bearcats and then Oakland at 2:15(ish).

Senior Jamee Juarez and Sophomore sensation Kim Reeder will likely be in the circle for the Bucks.

Freshman catcher Sam Marder has caught national attention with her 7 homeruns, 23 RBI's and 7 multiple RBI games. Respect for her bat earned her 5 walks against Hofstra in one game. Four of those came with at least one runner on base. On top of that, her play at the plate is gaining attention as well. She has gunned down 8 stolen bases attempts this year, while sharing time at the position with Senior Lauren Daykin.

This is a squad with solid Senior leadership and outstanding young talent. A lot like a certain Basketball team that's heading to Lexington this week.

Come out and support the Lady Bucks Softball team.

I might just have a crush on Kim Reeder

She was a hell of a pickup out of California. Pitching strong. And only a soph!
