The date has now been fixed in the minds of LSU baseball followers - April 21, 2008. On that morning, the Tigers found themselves with a 23-16-1 overall record and a 6-11-1 Southeastern Conference record. LSU was in 11th place in the league standings.

Was one hell of a stretch run, and an unbelievable turn around for these guys. From being predicted to finish 5th in the Sec West, to being one of the last 5 playing in Omaha was nothing short of amazing.
This is a young team. #1 recruiting class last year, and shapig up to be solid again. Hopefully Mainieri can keep it going and make us a mainstay in Omaha once again.
