Some question marks are surfacing about this pick by New York, as sources close to ESPN have revealed that Paul may have lingering issues from a car accident back in 99. He also survived an attack by 20 gang members who jumped him outside a party and left him with life threatening injuries a year ago.

One tough cookie.

Nelson finished 2009 with 53 receptions, 557 yards and three touchdowns. He had one of the fastest 40 times for a tight end at the combine with a 4.56 seconds, He followed that up with a 33" vertical. At 6'4" 250 we see him fitting in very well as a target on short routes or a deep threat from the TE position. During the Senior Bowl, I felt Nelson proved himself as a second-round caliber prospect. For Baltimore to steal him this late in the draft is absolute highway robbery.

As expected he turned in a 40 in the 4.5s despite the slow track, and he has a rare penchant for blocking for an athlete like him. Get him into the weight room and pack on another ten pounds to his 6'5" 235 lb frame and you have an every down player at the next level.
