Eastern Sweep in Midwest College Playoffs

Ohio State took care of Northern Iowa 44-20.

"Those boys are huge," said OSU head coach Tom Rooney. "Good farm boys."

Ohio State felt like they were running up against a beef-fed wall and didn't score until well into the first half. But eventually the tries came and they led 22-5 at the break.

"We had periods when we'd score three or four tries in a spurt, and then we'd be flat," said Rooney. "So in that sense I don't think we played well."

The OSURFC travels to Elk Hart, IN for the Midwest semis next weekend...we will face Bowling Green again and Notre Dame will face Indiana in the other semifinal, with the winners to meet on Sunday.

Make sure you check out Friday Night Tailgate on the Big10 Network tomorrow night at 11 PM...they filmed our practice last night as we introduced a couple of their PAs ("production assistants"...most people who aren't in the "biz" don't know that) to the sport and filmed some "cutaways for in between breaks" (again, insider jargon I wouldn't expect you normal people to understand).

I now will be hiring representation and an entertainment lawyer (LJB need not apply) as I fully expect E! to be calling with an offer of a reality series any minute now.

And no I'm not drunk...just been battling a "slight case of pneumonia" the last few days and I am hopped up on antibiotics, steroids, pain pills and NyQuil...and for the record, "slight case of pneumonia" is a complete oxymoron. If you've never had it, don't get it...if you have, you know why.
