Andy Staples has a top-25 after Spring ball. tOSU at a reasonable 9th, and #25 was apparently selected to get some attention for his article
(although based on their schedule, 9-3 is a reasonable expectation).

With PSU's losses at WR, offensive line, DE and secondary, it's hard to believe that they're worthy of a #16 ranking. Although, I guess with their typical slate of non-conference dregs, it will be pretty easy for them to win at least 9 games this year.

I can't think of a legitimate reason why, but I think Staples has VaTech way too high. They'll almost certainly win the ACC, but I just can't get excited about that. I really don't think VT could hang with any other team in his preseason top ten. Of course, I've been wrong before (many, many times).

Ole Miss at 7 is funny... every year there's one team that people love to jump on as being the surprise team... This year EVERYONE is saying "last year wasn't a joke, I'm going with a surprise pick of Ole Miss at 7!! They're going to shock the world!!"

It rarely happens..
