Offensive Player of the Year: Akise Teague, Youngstown Ursuline
There wasn't a more electrifying player in the state this season then Teague. A threat to go the distance anytime he touched the ball (offense, defense or special teams), Teague finished the season with 2,472 yards rushing, 842 yards receiving and 48 total TDs. He led Ursuline to its third straight D-V state final by racking up 405 all-purpose yards and five TDs in a 51-21 win over Coldwater at Fawcett Stadium. Defensive Player of the Year: Trey DePriest, Springfield
The Alabama recruit was a force on the field - and hardly ever came off it - this season. DePriest recorded 92 tackles, seven sacks, seven TFL and returned two of three interceptions for TDs. On offense DePreist scored five TDs and he also contributed on special teams by kicking off and punting (39.4-yard average). In a state that produces quality LBs, DePriest was Ohio's best this season.
