***Draft Thread***

We'll be using the same scoring/rules system as last year, with a few additions/changes (changes highlighted):

BCS Conferences & Notre Dame only

Passing:
1 Point for every 10 Yards
6 Points for every TD
-2 Points for every INT
2 Points for 2 Point Conversion

Rushing:
1 Point for every 10 Yards
6 Points for every TD
2 Points for 2 Point Conversion
-2 Points for Fumble Lost

Receiving:
1 Point for every reception
1 Point for every 10 Yards
6 Points for every TD
2 Points for 2 Point Conversion

Kicking:
0-49 Yards: 3 Points
50+ Yards: 5 Points
PATs: 1 Point

Defense/Special Teams:
Defensive TDs: 6 points
Punt Return TDs: 6 points (for the player that makes the actual return)
Kickoff Return TDs: 6 points (for the player that makes the actual return)
Safeties: 2 points
Fumbles: 2 points
Interceptions: 2 points
Sacks: 1 point
0 Points allowed: 10 points
2-6 Points allowed: 8 points
7-10 Points allowed: 5 points
11-13 Points allowed: 5 points
14-21 Points allowed: 2 points
22-28 Points allowed: 0 points
29-34 Points allowed: -2 points
35+ Points allowed: -5 points

The Defense/Special Team will no longer get the points for returned punt/kickoff TDs. Only the player that makes the actual return will get the points. The Defense will still get points for returned fumble/INTs.

If there are any other changes that you'd like to see, post them here for discussion.

I'm in, I like the changes. CJ 4 TD Spiller's replacement will be much more valuable now.

The NFL was a big fan of my starters, looks like we'll be rebuilding.

Rd
3 QB Clausen
2 RB McCluster
1 RB Spiller
5 RB Dwyer (failed drug test)
1 WR Bryant
1 WR Thomas
1 DEF Tenn (Berry & Williams... I couldn't seem to find McCoy's name in the draft list)

lol good to see all of you back. I was thinking of maybe expanding the amount of schools we can pick from, but I don't want it to be every school in the country. Anyone have any thoughts?

Eh, I think the level of competition is already weak enough with the B12 defenses. I don't think I'd want to include weaker brands of defense into the mix. I'd be curious to hear what others think.

Also, we already have an abundance of quality players to choose from, so much so that quality waiver wire pickups can be found after a strong month or two of production. I think we have plenty of quantity and quality talent.

True, but I don't think anyone has to worry about ND this year, maybe a RB2, but not anything reminiscent of Clausen.

I also like the restriction to BCS teams because it keeps me more interested in other matchups. They don't usually televise Houston or New Mexico State games nor show them on Sportscenter.

Good points. I think we'll stick with what we have then.
