Hopefully Trent Richardson will take enough carries away from Ingram to keep Archie's accomplishment in a class by itself.

Ingram won't win it next year, because presumably all the Heisman voters will be off of crystal meth by then. I mean, that's really the only explanation for them giving him the award.

Did you see that lineup on stage tonight? Shit went downhill quick after the 80's.

I don't want to dump on the kid, because I'm sure he's a nice guy, and it's not like he gives himself the award. But the fact of the matter is that he was maybe the third best candidate on the stage tonight. Maybe next year he'll be the best up there, I dunno. But it's anything but a sure thing.

Just to stay on topic, if Jake Locker doesn't go pro he could be a real darkhorse. He's got talent out the ass and finally has a coach who can get some production out of him.

Without a dog in the fight I was happy for Mark Ingram and Alabama. An African-American kid from the Northeast bringing a Heisman to Bama for the first time...Without the Bear breaking the racial barriers in the SEC who knows when they would have allowed African Americans to play in the SEC.
