2010 SEC Discussion and vBet

UBet - I'm starting to think we really got a good one when we poached Greg McGarity from UF.

http://www.macon.com/2010/11/20/1347393/bulldogs-finalize-deal-to-meet.html

So he negotiates that ESPN and Chik-Fil-A pay $600,000 of the fee for dropping the Louisville series, we get to kick off the season in the Dome in Prime Time, Saban and Les Miles aren't in Atlanta stealing our states recruits, and there's this:

The Georgia Dome seats more than 71,000 people, and Georgia fans are expected to fill most of those seats.
Boise State will be given 7,500 tickets and will not face a penalty if any are left unsold, Stokan said.
The rest of the allotted tickets, discounting those reserved for suite owners and local sales, will be given to Georgia. The number is yet to be determined, but Georgia could receive upwards of 50,000 tickets. In dealing with ticket sales, McGarity said his staff would model the allotment after the annual game against Florida in Jacksonville, Fla.

It's not a 7th home game - but it might as well be. Golf Clap for the new AD

Yeah, clearly no one will schedule you boise :roll2:

Woof, what are your thoughts on this matchup assuming Green bolts?

I don't know enough about Boise to comment. They seem to be pretty tough when given time to prepare.
Green may bolt - but so might Kellen Moore, who I believe is a Junior?

Personally, I don't expect it will be much different than the last time the Dawgs broke the Broncos.

Due to our sub-standard season, I know the Dawgs future schedule plans aren't really the concern of many of many Ohio State fans.*
But it's pretty clear that the "Florida Model" of scheduling will now be used in Athens. Our new AD made his bones at Florida as an assistant to Foley and starting in 2012 our OOC opponents will be limited to Georgia Tech** and the aforementioned "Little Sisters of the Poor."
It was fun while it lasted.

*Most Buckeye fans still wouldn't have cared about UGA future schedules if we had 10 wins!
**Georgia Tech would probably finish 8-4 in the Little Sisters of the Poor conference.

With Georgia looking for a home-and-home, Ohio State is a very viable option. And as a fan, I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE that future match-up.

If it were to happen, 2013 would be a possible year. Only team scheduled thus far is @California. Return leg... not sure. Could happen in 2012 if they could bump UAB or Miami (OH).

Fun to think about :)
