I think Doran Grant could be the first freshman starting CB under Tressel. I think Dionte ultimately ends up providing depth and playing some nickel, but making his biggest contribution on special teams. I'm also interested in seeing how Dominic Clarke and Corey Brown develop in the off-season.

Between the return of Marcus Hall to the lineup, the emergence of Andrew Norwell as a freshman contributor, the 2008 Brew Crew as seniors, and the continuing development of the 2009 guys (Linsley, Longo, Mewhort) I am very excited to see what the 2011 line looks like.

I think you have about nailed it here, but I would maybe swap Norwell and Hall. Either way, it looks good to me.

I agree those 5 guys as long as Shugarts is at guard are going to be one great OL, will be very interesting to see how the RT position shakes out next year.

The guy I'm looking forward to seeing is Bradley Roby. He seems to have good size and plenty of athleticism but is fairly new to the CB position. He blew up his senior yr in high school and was underrated by the recruiting services (offers from Georgia, Bama and Auburn).

Also, WR seems to be just as big a question as CB. But if someone else steps up there, I wouldn't mind them taking a look at James Louis at CB.

Definitely losing some studs this year! But what's great about tress and tOSU, they recruit and reload on defense every year. I also like the schedule for next year. I see a lot of potentially tough games!

So what happens if Adams gets hurt? We would have no depth at tackle if this happened.

You do realize that you can move players around despite where they are listed on the depth chart, right?

The bottom line is getting your best players on the field. Hall, Norwell, and Shugarts are three of the best lineman, so you play two of them at guard and move them back to tackle if needed.

I think the OL and running game will be the strength of the team (assuming Boom is here.)

I feel confident that the secondary will be good. This will be the group that shines during spring and summer camps.
S: Moeller, Barnett, Bryant
CB: Allen, Howard

I am worried about DLine. Wells coming back would be a plus; I don't think Bellamy & Williams scare too many offensive lines. In addition, I think our depth at tackle is young and not great. I like Simon and his motor, but he's a bit undersized. Hankins will steadily improve but I don't know how many down's he'll play. Goebel is not a big DT and Bennett will be a freshman.

I know you can move them around. Its just, Idk, I dont like the idea lol. I dont have a good reason....

Understandable if you are concerned about unity along the line and continuity in the positions that each player is at. However, I would much rather have Marcus Hall on the field in any capacity than providing depth at one of the tackle spots on the sideline.

Norwell is the only one that might be concerning since he is so young, Shugarts and Hall have been in the system for long enough that it shouldn't be a problem moving them around.

From my limited experience (in high school) on the line, the guards know what the tackles are supposed to do (and vice versa) on any given play because they work together most of the time executing the blocking schemes. This makes moving from one spot to the other not as big of a deal as you might think at first. If you have the skill set to play tackle, you can play guard no problem.
