I thought I would start this thread so that we can talk about other teams in our conference such as Scum and the rest of the has-beens rather than putting it in the 2012-2013 Men's Basketball thread. I thought that thread should be more specific to miscellaneous discussion about The Ohio State University basketball team.

Mods, if you agree, please make this a sticky thread.
 
As much as it pains me to say scUM is going to be a final 4 contender this year.

They have one of the best point guards in the country, guys on the perimeter who can get buckets, and some big men who do the dirty work.

It's going to be a rough year in conference play. MSU really played a lot better vs. Kansas than they did vs. UConn. Wisconsin, IU and UM are also going to be very good this year. Apart from those teams, Minnesota is under the radar but also very good, and Northwestern will continue to be tough to play in Evanston.

But there will be a few easy games - Nebraska is awful, and PSU is not much better. Purdue and Illinois have some talent but are inexperienced and are rebuilding. Iowa is a sleeper that I think is going to sleep in for another year.

They shot like 75% in the first half, and Wisconsin has been trying to catch up ever since.

Admittedly though, Wisconsin has some work to do, especially in trying to fill the void left by Gasser's injury.
