2012 NFL Draft - general discussion

Can someone explain why McShay is employed?

It is blatantly obvious that he is reading a teleprompter instead of offering his own opinions and he struggles badly throughout the Monologues.

whether you agree with him or not kiper provides analysis and has earned his status. I have yet to hear mcshay open his mouth and not reinforce that this guy is a ken doll hired as a manufactured role player opposite kiper.

42 players were drafted from SEC schools, 1 more than the Big Ten for most the draft picks by conference.

not bad for the worst conf ever

That's pretty interesting and goes to show that the B1G is not devoid of NFL caliber athletes, as many would have you believe. With that said, when you look at where those players from the B1G were drafted in relation to where players from the SEC were drafted, it is obvious that the B1G is lacking in top end talent. In the next 3-4 years we will likely see this disparity of top end talent shrink, hopefully due in no small part to Urban Meyer and the athletes he is bringing in.

I wouldn't mind seeing what an All Big NFL team looked like compared to an All Sec. I imagine Mangold would be snapping to Brady or Brees........That is a pretty good start me thinks.

We would have Jake Long, Joe Thomas, and Mangold for by far the superior OL, then 2 of the 3 best qbs in the league with Brady and Brees. I would take either of those two over Stafford/Manning/Newton every time.

That guy is an idiot. I've seen Big Hank going anywhere from 3-5 in every other draft and he doesnt even have him anywhere in his first round.

Way to pay attention dipshit.

I've seen a couple that don't have him going anywhere in round 1 and I've seen a few that have him top 8-12. It is what it is. These mocks are so subjective right now, it's just better not to pay attention. So many guys off this list will go in the first and so many will not. Last year Vontaze Burfict, Marucs Forston, Chase Minnifield, and some others were projected first rounders and they're nowhere to be found.

Justin Blackmon Posts Bond After Aggravated DUI Arrest
Justin Blackmon was arrested Sunday morning on a charge of aggravated DUI. After taking a Breathalyzer test, his blood alcohol content was reportedly .24 -- three times the legal limit. It's his second DUI arrest since 2010.

Very glad the Browns avoided him now. As for the Jaguars- well, they sure do know how to find some winners at WR.
