Sportsbook event up & running. You can access it by clicking the Sportsbook tab or by clicking 'Event' at the top of the thread (see screen shot below). Get your bets in by Saturday at 12p. Usernames were copied directly from Yahoo.

As a donor, sometime (hopefully today), @LongwoodBuck will get to you on her massive list of currency edits and you'll have a bit more based on that.

I don't know that the Sportsbook considers 'broke as a result of bets placed' the same as 'actually broke' when it comes to doling out replacement currency. I'm betting it doesn't, insofar as people would have an endless supply of currency that way and we'd be back to hyperinflation. I guess we'll find out!

But you can count on getting more. She's working through it today.

Yea, thanks to the biggest choke job in history, by me! 10 point lead three weeks ago followed by 3 last place finishes.

Anybody wanna read an interesting story, read on. Otherwise its kinda ridiculous and I'd suggest you leave.

Since this thing started last year, I basically dominated this contest for 22 consecutive weeks. Not always the best week, but always a competitive week. I'm a compulsive gambler who has never bet a single cent on a sporting event. My weakness has always been instant lottery tickets, and on rare occasions casino's. Haven't bought an instant in 5 years and when Me and the Mrs. go to Presque Isle I've learned to give her every "cash out" ticket I get. Great that no longer I've caused my family to suffer financially due to my addiction.

Anyway, there is a guy that I work with who bets regularly on football games. Last year, when I told him how well I did at this contest he begged me to give him my "best bets" of the week. Now, just to let you all know, I can't pick a single game to save my life. If there were 25 games in this contest and I had a week where I got 18 correct, my "best bets? would have been the other seven. I was picking at about a 65% rate for all of last year and into this year, and the guy at work kept begging me to share my picks with him. He kept saying "why not bet $100 on every game, you'll make money!) My contention was that when I started betting would be the first week that I did bad. I told him that God gave me the ability to be good at playing this game, not at making $.

So, three weeks ago the guy tells me, look, I want to see your picks and whatever money I make I'll give you 15%. What a dumass I am. Gave the guy my username and password on Yahoo to access my picks, and subsequently had my worst week ever. 10 point lead down to a 1 point deficit. The following week no better, deficit now at 8. This past week I made the guy give me the piece of paper back with my Yahoo info on it and burned it in my back yard and begged the Big G for forgiveness. All was going good after I made my picks on "drunk wednesday" then "edited" them on sober friday and changes my picks off of:
Nebraska
Missouri
Auburn
Miss. St.
Iowa
Illinois

So, to all out there, I should be at 183 if I'd gotten drunk on friday and left my picks alone. Not gonna happen this week. 12 seems alot to overcome with 3 weeks left and 12 people in front but I feel rejuvinated! Gonna drink some beer on wednesday and hopefully pick a winning ticket!

Good Luck to all, as as a lesson, never take a good thing for granted.
