I'm certainly a homer but if the Cavs ended up with these three, I'm quite sure there will be a shitload more homers watching the Cavs next season!

1.PF N. Noel
19. SF Deshaun Thomas

Offseason trade: C Greg Oden

Make it happen.

cleveland tailor's would love these moves as that's about 21 feet of suits sitting on cleveland's bench for most of the season.

by the by, oden's a free agent, they don't have to trade for him.

No way DT goes that high. He'll be there in the second. The last
I heard was that Oden was Miami-bound. Who wouldn't want to jump
at the chance to play on that team ?

Especially with his injury history. He might only have one year left in his knees. I would hate to be on that team after next season.

One man's version of a mock draft.

I can say with 100 percent confidence that if the draft were held today, the Cavaliers would select Alex Len with the top pick. The Cavs believe he is the best fit long-term alongside Kyrie Irving.
and

As of Monday night, I?d say there is only a 20 percent chance Cleveland trades the pick.
I'm not a Cavs fan, but I feel like taking Len number 1 overall would be a mistake. Sure, Len has potential, but the void at SF makes me think that Porter would be a better fit.

I like Porter as well, but I just don't see him as the #1 pick. Chris Grant seems to draft based on math that calculates what a player's potential will be and from what I've heard Porter's ceiling is lower than some of the other players. It might not be a move to help the Cavs as much this season, but if Noel or Len have a higher ceiling than Porter you go with one of them. Hell if they think McLemore is the BPA I think you go that way and find a way to make it work with Irving and Waiters. In the current NBA you could probably get by with all 3 on the floor at once in some situations.

I'm pretty sure Chris Grant is the only person who knows what the Cavs are going to do. All I know is I'm not going to bitch this year no matter what he does.

Agree.... Porter is not worth a #1 pick. The Cavs have shown they draft based on potential, upside and analytical basis.

And yeah, we have a hole at SF... wonder how that can be filled in the near future? But short term ways would fit this team better. Whether it be Paul Pierce, Luol Deng or Shawn Marion. Are those long tearm answers? Nope... but a vet with playoff experience would greatly help the young players on this team. And worst case you can pick a SF at #19 (or trade up to #13 and pick one) or... with a #10-#18 pick in next year's draft pick a SF.

And I am going to call my shot... we are picking Noel. Only way we pick Len is if we trade down 2-3 slots.

SF isn't a hole that can be filled with the #1 pick in the draft. Unless there is a long term option out there I wouldn't have a problem bringing PP in for a season to see if he can get this team into the playoffs and then worry about the long term solution next summer. Forget the whole  because it isn't happening.

I would love to see the Cavs make a move for T-Rob, which is starting to sound like it might have some smoke. Anything to cut down Andy's minutes and keep him healthy to the deadline when they could look to move him.
