2013 Week 3 B1G FB Open Thread

OK, we did one week with just one open thread and one week with a separate thread for B1G games. What does the community prefer?
Besides my gaffe on page 3 with mentioning a national game in the B1G thread (), I'm definitely a fan of 2 threads for splitting the action/talk a little bit.

Also, realized this morning how much easier it made my Sunday morning browsing to catch up on Saturday's posts- no more going back 2 pages to get to each thread (with 1-2 posts in them).

Edit- just to add, noticed they each had a similar amount of pages (14 and 18) which is better in my opinion than one 30+ page thread. So it seems split pretty well for BP's needs.

.

This was the reason I was for 2 threads in the first place.:lol:Not to mention it will be easier in about 7 weeks to come back and follow the progression of the BIG teams over the season.

Separate threads are better...good to have one devoted to the conference.

Not a great week for the B1G depth-wise...dUMb beat the Golden Homers and NW rolled, and Wisconsin pasted another patsy, but Michigan State's offense resembles old armadillos fucking, Purdue needed to hold on against an FCS team that Indiana put 73 on, those same Hoosiers got sunk by Navy, and Iowa looked listless. I suppose Illionis was a bright spot by Juggaloing the Bearcats, and Nebraska did look a lot better too.

So this week in B1G action:

Akron @ Michigan BTN 12:00 PM ET
Bowling Green @ Indiana ESPNU 12:00 PM ET
UCLA @ Nebraska ABC 12:00 PM ET
Western Illinois @ Minnesota BTN 12:00 PM ET
Youngstown State @ Michigan State BTN 2:00 PM ET
Iowa @ Iowa State Fox Sports 1 6:00 PM ET
UCF @ Penn State BTN 6:00 PM ET
Washington @ Illinois (Soldier Field) BTN 6:00 PM ET
Ohio State @ Cal FOX 7:00 PM ET
Notre Dame @ Purdue ABC/ESPN2 8:00 PM ET
Western Michigan @ Northwestern BTN 9:00 PM ET
Wisconsin @ Arizona State ESPN 10:30 PM ET

8-4? Can't even really call the 8 wins exactly, but think it shakes out that way somehow.

Michigan wins, Bowling Green could well beat Indiana (and should), Nebraska wins at home, Minnesota wins, MSU wins 8-0 on 4 safeties (shut up Penn State1985), Penn State will beat UCF, Washington will beat Illinois, OSU wins, Notre Dame beats Purcan't, NW rolls. So that leaves 7-3 with Wisconsin getting their first real test and the Iowa/Iowa State basket case cripple fight. So yeah, I say Bucky wins and Iowa finds a way to lose to Iowa State...again...and we hit 8-4.

Iowa State sucks as bad as Iowa. It might be called after the 15th OT because no one can score.

Indiana/BG might be the most guaranteed over bet ever. that one might end up being 70-65.

This is turning into a interesting weekend for Big 10 teams. Besides the Bucks first road trip, if Nebraska beats UCLA and Illinois could find a way to upset Washington then the SOS (and the computers) would be better for us and worst for Oregon or Stanford.

Also with the Domers playing at a really terrible Purdue we will have a idea on how impressive the Scum win was last weekend.
