2014-2015 Bowl Game Breakdown vs. Spread by Conference

Very early, but will be fun to look at it after the bowl season. I almost put a $10 bet on every B1G team since it was just outrageous for every team to be an underdog. While the B1G is not that great, they're better than their reputation. Didn't end up doing it, but I'd be up $20 right now.

C-USA is in the clubhouse with an average margin of victory of 11pts (averaging 9.5pts better than the spreads)

They have a total margin of victory of 56pts (which is 46.5pts better than their total spread of -9.5)

The B1G could challenge that margin over the spread with so many games being close dogs.

With ND beating LSU, all bowl participants from the set of Independents have played.

They beat the overall spread by 8.5pts, but was -3 on overall margin of w/l. So definitely outperformed the vegas odds.

Minnesota is going to get worked, Auburn/Wisky will be a decent game, UT/IOWA will be such a slap fest with a bunch of three and outs and great punting, and obviously our game is a toss up as well. We will be severely lucky to be 500 after the dust settles as a conference

Given the matchups to begin the bowl season, and being the underdog in all games, going 4-6 would actually be good. Particularly if one of those 4 is MSU or OSU.
