Game Thread 2015 National Championship Game: (2) Oregon vs. (4) Ohio State, Jan 12th @ 8:30p ET, ESPN

:slappy:

The thing is though....I can't take this too seriously because of this passage:

In late October everyone was tripping all over there trucknuts at SEC speed to say that were going to have 3 out of 4 playoff teams be from the Southeast. Now I'll give you the fact that 75% in the south is technicaly a B+ but what happened later was a udder failure as SEC West teams went 2-5. It should come as no suprise to anyone who watches football that the once "best" conference is now basically minor league college football.

If you're going to slap an entire region of the country as unsophisticated (amongst other things), you should probably know the difference between 'udder' and 'utter'...I know there is a disclaimer at the top of the story but there were no other references to complete the joke that I saw.

It's satire all the way through. There are plenty of other spelling errors littered throughout the "article".

Like, say...after reading this?

There's no such thing as "running up the score" in a national championship game. That's just crybaby stuff.

Running up the score would be throwing touchdown passes with 5 minutes left in a 66-3 home rout versus tiny Nicholls State, as Oregon did in Helfrich's debut.

'Sides if we didn't make that last score I wouldn't have won the last quarter in the pool! 50 bucks! Baby!!

Anybody want to help pitch in a buy a billboard proclaiming our national championship in Ft. Worth, Texas. As a resident of Dallas I can not begin to explain how annoying those TCU fans have been the past month and they still wont shut up about how they deserved to be there more than us.

Order it and bill it to TSUN (after Sparty apparently bought a full page ad in a Dallas paper no one will bat an eye).

Listening to Mariota post game, its easy to get caught up in making fun of him during the game, relishing his anguish, poking fun at the Heisman and such.

But damn, he seems like a quality kid. Well spoken, humble, avoids the limelight social media can bring. I have no doubt if he wore the S&G he would make us proud.
Couldn't quite carry the full weight of his team last night but he did impress me with his movement in the pocket and keeping his eyes downfield. Much like a certain
Heisman winner of ours, his Oline wasn't up to the task of neutralizing the other teams Dline.

On the flip side, The Buck defense brought the fight to an awesome QB and that should not be ignored. I would have preferred blowing out a team like FSU because Winston is as intolerable as most of the Noles fans.
Mariota was nothing but class in the post interview and you can tell the competitor he is by how much the loss bothers him.

Hats off to the competition. You were just unfortunate enough to run into the souless, satanic freight train that is tOSU football.

Tell them to go whine to a bunch of Florida State fans. If any team should have been left out it was them and not us.

I'm seeing a lot of this today...arguments for Mariota to come back. That would be galactically stupid. As it stands right now, he's a sure-fire top-5 (if not #1 overall) pick. All he does by coming back is run the risk of becoming another cautionary tale like Matt Barkley. He ain't winning a national title. Go get paid.
