Game Thread 2015 National Championship Game: (2) Oregon vs. (4) Ohio State, Jan 12th @ 8:30p ET, ESPN

Okay, give me reasons not to be concerned, because I am. I'm worried that Oregon's defense is a lot better than given credit for, especially late, and could pressure us into getting off schedule and making mistakes. Also worried about their tempo and how well they run it. Has our defense really seen an offense that is so dynamic?

Another factor that concerns me is that Oregon seems like they were focused on this game all season, expecting to get here. While we kind of find ourselves surprised. Although, this could work to our favor, I just worry about nerves.

Nervous is an understatement right now of how I am feeling.

If you want someone to tell you that Oregon can't win this game, you need to find a short bus, because anyone with IQ above tepid has to admit they can. Their defense is better than most people think, they have plenty of speed, and they have the Heisman Trophy winner. Really good team. But then, Alabama was a really good team too, and we beat their butts.

If you want someone to tell you that Ohio State will win this game, I can do that easily. "Ohio State will win this game." I feel more confident about this game than I did about the Alabama game, which I also predicted we'd win. Will our guys be nervous? Of course, just like Oregon's will be. But we're the more talented team on the field, and all the knowledgeable prognosticators (including Greg McElroy and Charles Davis) think we'll win.

Re-watch the Rose Bowl and Sugar Bowl again. I feel more and more confident every time I do.

I'm more than a little concerned by Oregon's bend but don't break defense. I think that would match up terrifically with Brax or JT. CJ seems to be strongest taking the big shot downfield, which seems what OU takes away. My key to the game on O is weather Cardale can make the short / Med passes to take the team down the field, and get the ball out quick enough to avoid the sack.

On D, stop the run and try to keep Mariotta contained from the big broken play. Don't go for the big hit sack - breakdown and make the tackle, even if it gives him time to throw it away.

I've felt good about a game exactly 2 times this year.... Wisconsin and this one. Good enough Jax?

Or we could just run the ball...
