Meh, this is a downgrade from Durkin, IMO. Durkin had just as much success as a DC (and in real conferences), plus he was a young, passionate (depending on your point of view) guy who you could imagine resonating with recruits. Brown's a guy who has put up good numbers for bad teams in inferior conferences (meaning, it's not clear to me how much stock to put into those numbers), and he's old.

so from 400 yards rushing allowed to say 250?

For the record, change "Don Brown" to "Ron English" and I heard all this same [Mark May] circa 2004-05
You know what's good for that? Elliott, Thomas, Miller, Marshall, Decker, Cook, Burbridge, Conklin, Allen in the NFL.

You know what's bad for that? Playing their replacements in late november & facing Dantonio's dark sorcery at any time.

We've heard the same shit from these chimps almost every year for about a decade. They fail/refuse to acknowledge the fact that ever since Woody stepped on campus over 60 years ago Michigan has been on the short end of the stick. Just off the top of my head, here are the records against Michigan by every non-interim head coach not named John Cooper:

Woody Hayes: 16-11-1
Earl Bruce: 5-4
Jim Tressel: 9-1
Urban Meyer: 4-0

That's 34-16-1 with head coaches who put a high priority on The Game. Many Michigan fans remember the tail end of the Ten Year War where Bo won the last three, Earl was barely over .500 in The Game, and Cooper shit the bed with a 2-10-1 record. Ever since Jimmy came to town, they've been search for an answer. Hell, even place-holder head coach Luke Fickell almost beat them on their home field. Tossing Luke's game aside, Tressel and Meyer have a combined record of 13-1 against Michigan, and the Michigan monkeys are desparite as fuck...
