Ohio State's 2016 class just jumped to 18 members, as the Buckeyes picked up a new commitment from the Empire State. Three-star ATH Jahsen Wint, who had previously committed to Temple, has committed to Ohio State, per 247, and others. Wint would later confirm it himself.

Wint took an official visit to Columbus earlier in December without a Buckeye offer under his belt, however, that changed after his trip, when the Brooklyn native picked up his from Ohio State. It didn't take long for him to jump on the opportunity to play in Columbus. The newest addition to the class told Land-Grant Holy Land's Bret Favachio that he was "amazed and thankful" to receive the offer from the Scarlet and Gray.

Wint is one of the most under-the-radar Ohio State commitments in recent memory. Per 247, prior to his visit to the Buckeyes campus, his only other FBS offer other than Temple was UMass. However, after the Buckeyes offered, Boston College, Penn State, and Rutgers followed suit. The newest Buckeye commit has also received interest from other major programs like Alabama, Michigan and Pitt.

The 5-11, 186 pound Wint hails from Eramus Hall in Brooklyn, New York, the same program that produced current Buckeye Curtis Samuel. It also is the home of multiple 2018 prospects who could eventually become Ohio State targets, like defensive tackle Matthew Jones, and wideout Sean Ryan.

Per Ari Wasserman of, Wint projects to be a safety at Ohio State.
