2017-2018 B1G Basketball Tournament (Official Thread)

Wish Purdue never lost to Wisky now we would been #3 seed and might have been playing #14 Rutgers instead of Penn State again.
We have an opportunity to destroy any chance Ped State has on the bubble and end their season. That is a good thing, and the well rested Buckeyes will come out focused and ready. Although after watching the Ped State/Northwestern game today, if we have the same refs I would feel better if we could add Prince and Berry and Bowen and Farrell or some combination of them and their friends to the roster for a little more size.

Tired of the hand-wringing over PoSU - to be fair, it's not just you. We're looking at the big dance where there will be better teams than the Lions, so buckle up butter cups.

Son-in-law is an IU fan (don't get me started on that). He was over Wednesday night and brought up how great of a season the Bucks had. We talked about how tOSU really could have gone either way this year (outstanding year or complete disaster if Jae'Sean had quit basketball as he considered, Keita hadn't fully recovered from last year, etc.). Then he said he was pleased overall with Indiana because he felt they had improved. Of course, when you lose your opener to Indiana State and also have an early season loss to Fort Wayne you do have a lot of room to improve. I wasn't about to tell him when you play so far below your talent level to get beat by those teams, and then actually play to your talent level against some better teams that isn't exactly what I would call improvement. I wanted to text him last night to see what he thought about their improvement after the Rutgers game (beat them at Rutgers by 21, lose on a neutral court by 7) but my wife wouldn't let me. I remember how bad a similar tournament loss felt last year and I'm glad we don't have a coach this year who will allow that to happen.

Winston isn't smoking from three point land today, 1 for 7 after going 6 for 6 on Sunday.

Sparty hung on anyway, 63-60.
