Your most valuable player doesn't disappear in the 4th Q. Barkley routinely did exactly that. I have his 4th Q stats in the Heisman thread. He didn't play the 4th Q of the last two games as they were blow outs, so the last post I made on the matter are his final stats

Barkley was the offensive version of Jabrill Peppers this season. He;s really fast and does stuff sometimes, basically. Which is apparently all it takes to "wow" certain crowds.

And to be clear, I'm not hatin on Barkley just to hate on him. I think he's a fine RB and will probably have a very good NFL career. He just didn't perform to an MVP level this season, in my IMO.

Almost never, actually. It should be.Jonathan Taylor ran circles around Barkley. Now is his OL better? Sure, but his QB might be worse than Barkley's OL.

Taylor averages 7.0 YPC. Wisconsin running backs not named Jonathan Taylor average 4.6 YPC. Which is to say that Wisconsin's OL is good - not great - and that Taylor isn't entirely a product of his own system. Any difference between the two offensive lines is likely canceled out by the difference between McSorley and Hornibrook, like you said.

I would consider Barkley's win a lifetime achievement award, which is whatever to me.

If we're talking most valuable to avoid disaster, give me Lewerke over Saquon easily.

Barkley was good one time against 3 of the best divisional foes, and it was versus the weakest team overall.

Both those guys would've been solid choices. Feel like they got caught up in October Heisman hype with the Barkley call.

Nah, Saquon should be solid in NFL. Peppers played 1000 positions because wasn't actually any good at any of them. Barkley will be a good RB, KR, and he has good hands for a RB too. I'd take him on my NFL team.
Might need to be paired with a bruiser that gets better in the 4th instead of disappearing though.
