2018-2019 College Basketball Discussion (Official Thread)

SEC refs are the worst...I mean the worst. First they don't call a foul on Auburn vs Florida in the final seconds.

Then they call a technical foul on an assistant coach for Kentucky to give 2 free pts to Tennessee that clearly mattered at the end but the worst was the phantom call on Travis to foul him out with 2 minutes left and to give Tennessee a 3 point play that altered the end of the game with no Travis. There are some serious awful calls here.

every year there's a couple shockers

not trying to be pessimistic. just simply acknowledging that it's not outside the realm of possibility that they get left out.

Ohio State being left out would not be a shocker, unfortunately. The Bucks are as bubble as bubble can get.

Oregon seemingly on the way to beating Washington won't help.

Oregon winning better not be the reason Ohio State goes to Dayton or the reason Belmont or UNCG is left out. Freaking pathetic Pac 12.

Belmont and UNCG are already out - the rules have changed, and not in their favor.

At this point I'd welcome a trip to Dayton. I'll be surprised if the Bucks get a bid at all.

Short version: Kentucky lost and Hank doesn't like it. :tibor:

Oregon is probably just as good as OSU, if not better at this point in time. I would definitely expect Oregon to beat a team like Belmont. Arizona St played like a tourney team when I saw them yesterday, I think they would be a good choice to make it considering the alternatives. Of the three Pac-12 teams, Washington is actually the team that at this time isnt playing like an NCAA tourney team.
