NFL Discussion (Official Thread)

Conservative ass NFL playcalling in full swing. Sorry but if it's 3rd and 1 from inside the 15 and Aaron Rodgers is on the other side. You take 2 runs to win the game.

Congrats, Bears, you played yourself.
Actually, NFL coaches have mastered this mix of conservative but stupidly overthinking play-calling. It's amazing.

What is astounding to me is that after halftime Nagy went away from damn near everything that worked for them the first 30 minutes of football. Green Bay had few answers when Chicago went with misdirection and max pro.

I get that having an eagle eye view really clears things up but I don't understand how some of these things aren't evident in-game with these coaches.

Perfect example of a Barkley game.
1 amazing 68yd TD run
17car 38yds 2.38ypc the rest of the game
Media is ecstatic... Giants lose with just 11 first downs and 3 FGs outside that singular run. 4/13 3rd down, 0/2 4th down. 0/2 Redzone.
Eli got no help from the ground game.

Defenses just gotta settle in to give up the Barkley homerun, let him be useless the rest of the game, and tee off on the QB.
