It’s all about context

If it’s two random teams and the 4th bad game you’ve seen in two weeks ***yawn***

If it’s the first football you’ve seen in a long time, or as near as makes no matter, it’s hilarious. If it’s a big name losing to a small school, it’s hilarious. If it’s N*tre *ame or MythAgain vs anyone, it’s hilarious. If it’s MythAgain on the first Saturday of the season losing to a AA school: all-time comedy gold.

Heard a foxsports radio host imply that he was going to average over 500 yards a game, get into the playoffs, and probably be a top 10 pick. All this from one game against a putrid Houston defense. You mentioned it in the open thread on Sunday; I would bet a lot of money that against a disciplined and talented defense, Hurts reverts to game manager mode.

All this talk about him and the playoffs adds up to this: OU is THE definition of falling in love with style over substance. Riley is a fantastic offensive mind and OU is flashy, but they've either choked or been throttled in all 3 of their playoff appearances. The last time OU won a bowl game over a significant opponent was 2013. For some reason ESPN and FOX forget about that when fawning over their QBs Riley being an offensive savant.
