Their dline depth was bad before, now its completely shot. Wisconsin even if they are somewhat depleted is going to run all over them on Saturday
Would not bet on that - they've been off for 2.5 weeks, only did a bit of conditioning last week, the game is in Ann Arbor. Probably a tight game, but timing could be off and this will be just like an opening game again.

Without going to Stassen, I'm going to guess that Northwestern did better against Michigan in the 90s than the Buckeyes. But then came the turn of the century.

They did, barely.

In the 90s:

TTUN vs NW’ern: 5-2, .714

TTUN vs tOSU: 7-2-1, .750, but that would be .700 if tOSU’s ‘greatest win’ was a real win

tOSU vs NW’ern: 7-0, the teams didn’t play in the NW’ern glory years of ‘95 and ‘96

From January...

Heading into year 6 and things seem to be circling the drain. Their lauded 2017 class, which should be making up the core of their 2020 team has been leveled by transfers and under achievement. Two of their better coaches/recruiters bailed. Their recruiting is nowhere near where it needs to be to get them out of 9-4 territory and there's steadily growing unrest in the fanbase. This year should be a lot of fun.

Agreed. Michigan is a soft team that has just enough talent to beat the bums on their schedule, but 2020 could be the year when they finally quit on Harbaugh and the program implodes.

Some highlights from that fanboy love letter....
2020 could be a big year for Michigan, one in which it’ll have a chance to rectify a lot of wrongs from the previous year. And it starts with one side of the ball where the Wolverines should be much better than they have perhaps ever been.
Never before in the modern era has the Michigan offense had such viable options, in what should be a win-win scenario.
McCaffrey and Milton’s capabilities ... their abilities should allow the Michigan offense to truly take off in ways it hasn’t before.
The bestest offense ever is averaging 29 points and 452 yards per game, and still hasn't faced a decent defense.
Beyond that [quarterback], the skill positions are beyond loaded.
The running backs room is so crowded with playmakers, it’s difficult to discern just who will be the leader of the group.
Wideout is just as loaded
I think Isaiah Hole was loaded when he wrote this.
NEXT: The other side of the ball is no slouch.
Narrator: It is in fact a tremendous slouch.
That said, there’s a good chance Michigan enters the final game against Ohio State with an 11-0 record.
I can't believe shit like this gets published, even on a homer website. Utter lunacy. DFBIA, indeed!

In Valenti's scUM rants, he always points out how the press around that program is actually worse than the fans. How they spend every off-season pumping the DFBIA full of sunshine and lollipops and spend the season, when things inevitably fall waaaay short of expectations making excuses. He's 100% right.
