2021 CFB Playoff Discussion

You're choosing between being stabbed by the same longsword for the 17th year, or to root for a second longsword to try and stab you while you're trying to figure out how to parry the usual one.

And that distinction is being decided by two half football teams. An incredible half football team from Athens (and a welcome return of defense in the era of RPO cheating), but one that wouldn't stay on the field with the last 2-3 champs.

I guess. I just assumed that Georgia was already stabbing and OSU was going to have to parry both anyway. Not sure this really matters that much either way.

Had they Georgia'd yet again, it's a much more doable parry. And Arch Manning considers whether Kirby really does ruin all QBs.

Instead you have this. A feel good story about a walkon talent at QB. You have to outrecruit Bama and Georgia and USC for the top signal callers.

We've now crowned the new money Bama (at least in recruiting hype).

you Husker fans just need to focus on baby steps. Your school hasn’t won a conference championship in the 21st century. I’m rooting for you all.

Here's my plan for 2022:

#1. Frosty making moves. All he's gotta do for me is get bowl eligible. Anything less, and he's Frosted Toast.
#2. Frosty made so many moves, he caught the Rona.
#3. Frosty got a new QB, a hell of a receiver/returner, apparently, lost a coach, FINALLY addressed special teams (get to that in a minute).
#4. Not sure why Ron Brown didn't get a nod for a coaching spot. All that guy did as the running backs coach in four years was have a 1,000-yard rusher each season while the Huskers had 2,800 yards rushing each of those years. If they can't run the ball, this will be looked at with some trepidation.

I mentioned the special teams. In 2021......the Nebraska Cornhuskers had 27 punt return yards....FOR THE SEASON.

That's not special teams, that's RAINMAN special right there.

When Jamo went down you knew God had enough of UGA losing to Bama lol.
Perhaps. But the Buckeyes beat Utah without two of their three best WR's and other starters. Georgia's secondary is better than Utah's but Bama has no one like JSN to replace Metchie and Jamo, and maybe it's a wash between the rest of the WR's on OSU and Bama. UGA's DLine is better than Utah's, though.
