I usually like Gus, but I don't think he was good last night. He was stuck on certain things more than usual, first CJs age, hometown, and it was his first start. Later, PJ wanting to make the Ohio State coaches coach. He wasn't paying attention to down and distance multiple times and he just read the graphic and repeated the wrong score after Henderson's TD.

I too thought it was a rough game for Gus. On the int he stated as if it were fact that Minnesota had confused him when the problem was that A) CJ threw the ball inaccurately, and B) CJ should have seen that Minnesota had blown the defense and Garrett Wilson could only have failed to score on the play if he had died of loneliness after catching the ball because the Minnesota defense had neglected him so utterly.

Minnesota had only confused themselves on that play. CJ threw to an open receiver when there was a receiver who was more open, and he threw inaccurately. Gus' statement was, if anything, even more inaccurate than the throw.

Gus & Joel are my favorite duo. They both had a rough go of it last night.

Lol that slayed me and I noticed that too on the broadcast. But it probably comes down to reads if Olave is option number 1 and wide open no reason to go to even wider open number 2 unless you catch it in your field of vision before you pull the the throw on 1 but since Olave was coming right to left he was probably looking right first.

I've spent too much time today reading MGoBlow's thread on the game. It was a lot of whining about how Ohio State always wins, and about how Minnesota wasn't any good. Then came the non-targeting call late. The whine is flowing like the salmon of Capistrano.
Another hour of this and I might have to call a doctor.

Maybe but still the best night I've had in about a year. Football is back, with fans and my favorite group was calling the Bucks even if it wasnt anyone's best night.
