2022 College Football Polls

I know Florida beat #7 but only a SEC team would go from unranked to #12 for that win. A. It was a home game for Florida B. Not like they dominated them, they needed a INT in the end zone in the final seconds to survive and win. (Not that say it isnt a good win but its quite the catapult in the polls)

Outside of Bama and UGA not overly impressed with anyone in the SEC after week 1.

Oregon is a mess offensively (not much better on defense apparently either), I know UGA is elite and would make a lot of teams look bad, but that Oregon offense is in for a long season, I couldn't point out 1 positive in that game from them.. Bo Nix is not a good QB, he's somehow gotten worse every year he's been in college. They better bench him fast and hope for a spark from one of the young QBs on their roster.

seriously he was just brutal to watch; he was brutal at auburn and he’s brutal-er now

If our biggest gripe after week one is being ranked 3rd in the AP poll, behind the two teams who - let's be honest - dominated last season's CFP, I'll take it.

Our offense will get better and our defense can get better. We're just getting started. 98% of fans would love to be in our position.

It's soooooooooo early in the season, but a hilarious scenario would be the #4 playoff spot being down to 1 loss ND and 1 loss scUM

and ND getting it because they went and played a marquee OOC road game while scUM played 3 of the worst teams in FBS.

Imagine the head explosion of the scUM fanbase.

Just about the single scenario known to man where one would catch me rooting for the Domers.

Some of you have posted your top 25 in the past. Notably @BB73 posted one weekly for awhile where he ranked teams based on what happened on the field (imagine that). What I’m asking here is not for a top 25… it’s just for the ranking of 1 team… ok, maybe 2

If you were to rank teams based on what happened on the field, where do you rank Alabama and Texas this week? The pollsters dropped Bama 1 spot based on what happened on the score board. Where would they be if you based it on what really happened on the field; not on how it was officiated, but on what actually happened?

Do you have Texas above Bama, if only for one week?

I would have to put Bama above Texas since they got the win, especially since it was on the road.

Now they might not have won if we had seen a call of a safety in the end zone, a face mask inside the 10, PI in the end zone, and holding on a late 20-yard scramble, but I’d have to reluctantly abide by the 20-19 score.

Also, how many voters noticed that the Utah State team that Bama manhandled in Week 1 just lost to Weber State by a 35-7 score?

Bama probably deserves about #11 this week, and Texas about #15.

Some bloke named Stephen Hargis has *ichigan over Ohio State. Nerd.
Several have *ichigan over Alabama. I wonder if they'll be fitted for concrete shoes, or maybe something more merciful awaits them.
Two dudes (Nate Mink and Chuck Carlton) have *ichigan as low as #9.

Nathan Baird, of Cleveland.com has Penn State at #8. HAHA. (I find this funny because Penn State complains that the "Big Ten voters" hate Penn State.)

So Florida gets a ridiculous poll boost for barely beating Utah at home.

Then Kentucky gets launched up 11 spots into the top 10 for beating Florida. While Florida doesn't fall very far, staying in the top 20.

This is how the "SEC JUST BEATS UP EACHOTHER!" crap gets kept alive.

Also Bonus points for keeping A&M in the top 25.
