Need to vent a bit with out nervous I am for this one.

I'm shocked by ttuns turnaround after 2020. I thought they were dead after that poor season, their recruiting hasn't been great and they basically decided to be Wisconsin.

As for our game. You have to hope we come out pissed off on defense and swinging for the knockout on offense. It's not to say we can't win a street fight but rather that's a style they have a little more experience winning at.

It'll really just boil down to can we stop their run and can we protect against play action? We don't have to eliminate the run but holding to less than 150 on the ground would go a very long way. They've neglected to develop JJ all season and we need to make them pay for that. Keep adding to the box until they can't run the ball but we've got to stop their running game.

I'm not a fan of their pass rush or their DBs so I really think CJ should have a big day. That said if that's working? You throw for 600 yards and 10 TDs. The tendency will be to run the ball to prove we improved physically but that's a terrifying mistake. This is a game we're it's better to have a strong YPC than actual yards.

Thankfully we are deep in the front 7 this year and Knowles is very very good at adjusting. He'll pull out all the stops to stop their run if they're doing well.

I'm surprised their defense has been so good this year but I think that's particularly because the teams they've played are so damn bad.

Overall I think we'll be better prepared for their physicality having played ND, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Penn State. Compared to ttun who won't be as prepare for the skill we have (really only comparison is Penn State or Maryland). I think we win because of what happened last year but If I'm being honest I won't be surprised if we struggle similar to last year and lose either.

I think we have the more talented team and last year I know we had the more talented team. If we lose this year it won’t be because we got caught looking to the CFP. Can Day and Knowles have schemes that let us maximize our talent advantage.

I don't think Michigan is as good as they were last year. Even if it may look like it on paper. Those first 3 games against FCS caliber teams inflated a lot of their stats.

Especially on defense. There are clear holes there, they just haven't played anyone who could constantly take advantage of them. But we've seen them momentarily exposed throughout the season.

They don't have that sack on demand type player like they had with Hutchinson and Ojabo. A vast majority of their sacks have seemed to come late in games against these completely overmatched teams after those teams wear down.

McNamara was not great by any means but he was way more of a threat than McCarthy throwing the ball. They have ZERO down the field threat but I also think Harbaugh does not trust McCarthy to make consistent throws down the field. He only has thrown 2 INTs because he's really not been put in the position to throw INTs.

I am 100% convinced that TTUN improvements are due to AHC Poggi caming in and created a buffer between Captain Dumbass the the coaches and players. No worries he just took a HC job somewhere and so Dumbass will be talking to the players and coordinators again. So have no fear chaos will soon be coming back.
It says a lot about ones ability to communicate when you just remove them and everything gets much better.

I think this is true as well.

Even DFBIA admits that Poggi being the "communicator" was huge.

Now Harbaugh is free to be Harbaugh again.

I've thought this as well.

It won't be surprising for our offense to see a good defense because we've played ND, Iowa, Wisconsin and Penn State. They've seen nothing like our offense so I'm hoping the jump in talent we have will be too much for them.

Also I fully agree they aren't nearly as good up front as they were last year. So they'll need to bring pressure from their back 7 and that could lead to some big plays.

I think it becomes blatantly obvious in the game how much they relied on Hutchinson and Ojabo getting at the QB and constantly into the backfield to mask the rest of their Ds flaws last year. We saw against UGA what happened when those 2 were neutralized. This year they just aren't there period. No one in that group this year particularly scares me. 14 of their 31 sacks this year came in 2 games against Colorado State & Indiana (2 very bad offensive lines)

There's been a lot more vulnerable moments this year for them, the other B1G teams just suck too much on offense for the most part this year so they werent consistent enough to actually cause a L for scUM.

Colorado State who ranks 2nd to last and Indiana who OSU also had 5 against.

They DO NOT have the same abilities up front and we need to challenge that.

I told some Michigan fans that their team has amnesia; it’s like they forgot they weren’t supposed to be good.

It’s time that somebody reminds them.
