2023-2024 College Basketball General Discussion

Colorado State, one of the MWC teams bracketologists (ESPN has them comfortably in as a 9 seed) have in, is currently tied with 9-22 San Jose State with 11 minutes to play in the 2nd half in their opening game of the MWC Tourney.
9-22 is a terrible record. Imagine being that bad, or worse. Can you even get worse? Like if you were 8-23. That'd be pretty embarrassing.

Texas at 20-12 is barely in a better spot than Oklahoma. They do have a handful of top-50 wins. The Longhorns should probably be like a 10 or 11 seed, they were 9-9 in the Big 12, lost the first conference tourney game, and only top-100 nonconference win was vs a bad LSU team. Some of these Big 12 teams are just skating in on conference credibility alone, and a 9-10 record against Big 12 teams isn't great.

Oklahoma had better be out. The only reason they're even close to the bubble is the power rankings of the Big 12. The Sooners went 8-10 in the Big 12, lost in the first round of the conference tourney to finish 20-12, and had only 2 marquee wins all season (Iowa St & BYU). Their best nonconference wins were against Bubble teams. If this profile doesn't scream "NIT" to you, you're doing it wrong.
Oklahoma is getting in
