2023 Bowl Games Discussion

Washington 35-31
The dome plays a huge roll here. No wind, and fast surface. Nothing to slow Wash down.

Texas plays kind of a similar game as Bama. Texas's D isn't bad.

Same with Oregon, who has more of a Pac 12 spin, mixed with some SEC from Lannings time there.

Wash can definitely win this one for sure.

Forgot until the end of the game that Sark used to coach at UW. They're the ones who called him "Seven Win Sark" back then. I bet that makes this win extra sweet for Dawg fans.

They beat him in the Alamo Bowl last season, too. This one was bigger, obviously.

Washington gives me 02 vibes. Winning close ones, have rizz, and a coaching staff out of nowhere that does it the hard way: grind. They’re going to stun tCUN.

Unfortunately - the game gives me big time 2014 vibes.

B1G team:
Vastly superior defense
Better running game
Better at line of scrimmage
QB that nobody thinks too highly of

PAC 12 Team:
Big Time prospect at QB
High Scoring offense
Upsets a favored team in the semis

Would love to be wrong on this one...

Washington OL is legit. Think it could be a push against Mich’s DL.

The Mich OL vs UW DL, however, I agree.

I don't think I'm giving UW's secondary much credit. They did a really nice job on Xavier Worthy and AD Mitchell. I think Ewers had less than 100 yards at the start of the 4th quarter. That's big time and a job well done.

I think your assessment was mostly on point, however I don’t see it going like 2014 in the sense that tOSU was clearly a better team.

Think this one could go either way until the end.

I kept saying Washington DBs are there strength on defense. Load up in the trenches and force JJ to make contested throws. Washington DBs are legit

Just sayin: I'll give the scUM QB1 some credit here. He made the plays when he needed too. In both games (i.e. Ohio State and Alabama) there were plays that it looked like he would be sacked; however, he scrambled around and 1) completed the pass (which was right on the money) or 2) ran for a 1st down. He literally "snatched victory out of the jaws of defeat" on some of those plays.
