2023 Women’s NCAA Tournament

Cotie might just be our best hope in this one. We couldn't drive vs UNC so she'll have to be ready this week and stay out of foul trouble. Her and Thierry both

Also need Mikesell and Jacy to drop a few bombs from deep to spread out UConn's defense and open the lane a bit.

Defending Dorka in the paint concerns me. Bucks had problems with Iowa and Indiana's bigs in the post.

Miami running out of steam, I fear. IU is very good. 49-48 end of 3rd.

(How many times has a men’s/women’s team taken out the same school? Let alone back to back days?)
Since you asked, men’s and women’s teams losing to the same school, per SportsCenter, plus a little on my own:

2023 - Miami over Indiana (both in round of 32)
2014 - Florida over Dayton
2014 - UConn over St. Joseph’s
2012 - Louisville over Sparty
2008 - UNC over Louisville
2006 - Duke over Southern (both in round of 64)
2001 - Mizzou over Georgia
1998 - UCLA over TTUN
1994 - Geo Washington over UAB (both in round of 64)
1983 - Georgia over UNC

So it’s the first time that a school that had men’s and women’s teams both win a game got eliminated in the same round by the same school.

Always the best researcher. Thanks!

Georgia beating UNC in the men's tournament in the '83 elite eight is still astounding. That UNC team started Sam Perkins, Matt Doherty, Brad Daugherty, and some dude named Mike Jordan. To this day it's still the only time Georgia has reached the Final Four in men's hoops.

Anyway, back to the 2023 women's tournament.
