The Buckeyes are off to another BOOOOMing weekend.

The 2020 class is off to an extremely hot start at Ohio State. With more than a year to go before any of these recruits are able to officially sign, the Buckeyes had already landed a top quarterback in Jack Miller, two linemen in Jake Wray and Paris Johnson Jr, and a four-star safety in Lejond Cavazos.

Today, they added yet another commit, as four-star guard Luke Wypler announced his pledge to the Buckeyes.

Wypler joins what many think could be the best class in America by the time that Signing Day rolls around in February of 2020. He’s the first guard in the class, as Wray and Johnson both spend most of their time outside, and will likely remain as tackles at Ohio State. At 6-foot-4, 285 pounds, Wypler is the ideal size for a college guard, and has the experience and athleticism to make him one of the most highly touted interior linemen in the class of 2020.

Wypler, a Montvale, NJ native, comes to Ohio State via St. Joseph Regional High School. He currently sits at 75th in the national 247Sports composite rankings, and third among all other guards. His commitment doesn’t move Ohio State above Miami for the top spot in the 247Sports team rankings yet, but he does put them quite a bit closer. With three fewer commits than the Hurricanes, Ohio State is just 40 composite points off of the lead, which could be made up with just one or two big commitments.

Wypler also held offers from Penn State, Michigan, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Stanford, Notre Dame, Florida, Ole Miss, and many others.

Land Grant Holy-Land will have more on this commitment soon. You can view Wypler’s highlights below.
