I loved where he said, "You know what you do when a guy makes a shot like that? You shake is hand and tell him he made one hell of a shot." There is a certain elegance that Barkley has when he knows what he is actually talking about. He is very good with post game analysis, but looks lost before games because he doesn't know the teams and you can tell he doesn't like college basketball. Maybe once we win the championship, he will give OSU some love.

Do Ogre's know how to love?

The worst FT % by any Buckeye was 75% tonight. 22 of 26 as a team, almost 85%. Good thing, too since Zona was 18 of 20.

Zona was 5 of 7 on 3's in the first half, and 1 of 11 in the second.

Buckeyes ended up 7 of 13 from downtown.

This is why I didn't understand the complaining in the game thread about free throw shooting. Craft missed a couple at important times down the stretch, but all in all the Buckeyes were excellent in this phase of the game.

First time the Buckeyes came from being down double digits to win a game this season. Love how this team doesn't panic when down, at the buzzer, whatever. That starts with Thad, but it also shows the kind of kids he recruits.

Great effort all around. :)

What a great win for OSU!

I think this was a reasonably fairly reffed game, they just called it tighter than OSU is used to, there were questionable calls both ways but they were fairly even. They could've called 3 or 4 more and-1 fouls for Zona as OSU players did annoying scrapes at them as they were going up for transition layups/dunks, and the way the Cats were shooting FTs they were going to get those points. Those touch fouls for and-1s were called in 2010 when OSU lost to UT, they weren't called tonight. Of course, in the 2010 S16 the refs also called OSU for fouls twice when an OSU player had been blatantly pushed in the back by Brian Williams from the Vols into a UT player.

I keep saying where this 2013 team has an advantage over past teams like 2010 and even 2011 is they have some good talent coming off the bench so not only can they match up with different styles, and it's harder to really get this team in foul trouble since they have the bodies to absorb some fouls inside without really harming the team. Plus they can keep a higher intensity level throughout the game by getting guys more rest, although tonight Thompson and Smith both logged a lot of minutes, more than usual.

Good for Ross to have a game like this that he can really be proud of. It hasn't been all fun & games for him at OSU, so I'm happy for him.

Drew Carey in the crowd hahaha

I wanted to wait until after the post game celebration died down to mention this, but yeah, Cleveland native Drew Carey in the crowd participating in an O-H-I-O chant after the game.

Although he is a relatively minor celebrity, it's still pretty cool to see him out there supporting the team and it is a much more genuine support than a lot of other celebrity fans I would imagine. After all, he was sitting right in the middle of the Ohio State fan section- not in a box seat or court side.

Also, given the distances involved, I thought Buckeye Nation had a pretty damn good showing in the arena last night. Arizona most likely had more fans there, but the Buckeyes had plenty of vocal support as well.
