Slight problem, even though (87+93)/2=90, that is a anti-knock rating not the amount of additive that was added. Doesn't really work out that way.
Gotcha. Let me ask this you this: If you have half a tank of 93 RON and mix it with half a tank of 87 RON gas, what would the RON rating of that whole tank be? (whatever the octane, is it not the RON rating that they refer to when the manufacturers specify the gas type recommended for a vehicle?)

Four mpg better versus the price of the shit you put in your tank....

Did you save any money when you subtracted the additive?

You mean the $20 air filter from Walmart and the $12 crap that I poured into my tank?

With 4 more MPG I'll get that back in two fill-ups.

Plus, this tank I'm looking at even more than 41 MPG.

I spent Friday and Saturdaqy driving from Cincy to Pompano Beach. If there's a fuel crisis you'd be hard pressed to tell on the road. volumn seemed about the same as any other holiday weekend and I had to stay out of the high-speed lane even though I had the cruise control set on 80 as a solid fourth of the trafic was moving faster than that.

Note to Cincibuck:

KPH is not the same as MPH. :wink2:
