Game Thread #7 tOSU 18, Purdue 26 (Oct 17, Noon ET, BTN)

Had to DVR this one and just finished watching it. Ugh. I don't have much to say about this one other than how the fuck was that not interference or holding on the deep ball to Carter? Otherwise, it was 3 quarters of bad coaching, bad O-line, bad decision making by the QB, bad refs, and the D having to constantly play from the hole. Just seems like they ran into a buzz saw of a Purdue team that had a huge chip on its shoulder. Congrats to PU for a solid win. Hopefully, this is a wake up call for the young Bucks and they win out.

Edit: Well, now I think about it. Without the pressure of trying to win a MNC, it will be fun to watch what TP can do the rest of the way. I think this loss might take enough pressure off him to let him relax and show what he can do.

Back now. Don't even think I could imagine reading this thread. Mods must have had a rough day.

First Buckeye loss I've attended. Just shocked. Loss for words.

Game was just...awful. Felt like a kick in the stomach. Ugh. 1-5 Purdue???

Offense was running 3 different plays it seemed. Receivers were all over the place. Blocking was wrong. And Pryor...struggled.

This is just a bad, bad loss. No sugarcoating. Tressel's worst as the head man at Ohio State, I believe. He usually owns these games.

Just. Didn't. Expect. That. Unbelievable.

Hate to say it but if that's what this kid was thinking of this entire year, his ass should be benched. If he's putting that much pressure on him and is thinking about that instead of taking it 1 game at a time...BIG PROBLEM. There's no problem with having that a goal at the beginning of the year, but damnit focus on the opponent you have for this week. There should not be that much pressure on his shoulders that he's playing this bad, it's inexcusable.

Oh, and going out on that freaking facemask penalty was the worst. The. Worst.

I wanted to see our O at least try to do something. Even if it was 70+ yards in a 1:10 with no timeouts. I don't know. Just felt- empty.

That was just bad luck. If any of the Buckeyes' mistakes today were excusable, it was that. It's a shame that was the final nail in the coffin.

And that strip that Coleman had in the first half that they said was not a fumble, I about threw something threw my work TV. That was one of the WORST blown calls of the year. HUGE momentum turner. I haven't been so upset about a call this year as I had with that crap. Tressel should have thrown the challenge flag at the Linesman's head. Absolutely ridiculous. Does anyone know who overturned the ref that said it was a fumble??

I don't disagree with what you are saying. I was just thinking out loud that Terrelle has faced very few low pressure situations in his time at tOSU. I don't think he's focused on winning a MNC on every play or game or anything.. just more of a general pressure issue.

There was a time when this board could self moderate itself, as some are trying to do (Bucky, King, sepia, etc) but they're fighting an uphill battle.

What has this place come to when I'm acting as a voice of reason? I think I want my money back.

The thing is, almost every game has been an off day for our O. Time for a change, and I don't care what it is. Whether its an OC, change of some of the playbook, personnel. I don't care, but something needs to be done. And it needs to be done soon otherwise we'll score maybe 2 offensive touchdowns a game from here out and that's not gonna cut it.

What position do you play?!
