#8 Ohio State vs. #1 Michigan St., Friday, March 15, 12:30PM, BTN

Yea will be interesting to see what happens. Feels like we got everyones best performance today and the chances of repeating that two games in a row is something this team has not been able to do.

Nick Ward will likely be back but with or without him MSU was playing well.

I think MSU is a good team, certainly much better and more consistent than us. I expect them to win but all in all I don't hate how we match up with their personnel. I think we can hang with them if we play well.

But why, tho? MSU has overachieved but they still were the most consistent team in the B1G, and OSU couldn't buy a bucket in the last 10 minutes of either game against them.

That’s why. We could have easily beat them twice if we didn’t choke it away especially that first game. First game we was better for 35 minutes. Second game better for 30. I like our chances against them way more than Purdue or TTUN. We haven’t beat them and maybe we can’t but we proved we can play with them

I think that's the other thing, too. It is hard to beat a team 3 times in one season. I think OSU might have a bit of a psychological/motivational edge in this one. We're warmed up and ready to go and MSU might expect it to be easier than it will be.

The key could be whether we can hold things together down the stretch, unlike the first 2 times we played them.

Now watch them put a start-to-finish beatdown on us, lol.

that's an old wives' tale.

They won 100% of the first two games but only 72% of the 3rd games.

You can find reasons this game will be close, MSU coming off a huge win against TTUN to clinch regular season title, playing OSU could be a bit of a let down. They could be taking it for granted and looking forward to the later rounds or NCAAs, it wouldn't be the first time an Izzo team bombed at the Big Ten Tournament. OSU probably has a lot of confidence now coming off a great second half against Wisconsin and great game against IU, MSU is trying to work back an injured Nick Ward.
