You kids stay off my lawn!
Five years ago I put together a power point salute to those in my high school class who served. Did it on a Mac using Windows 2010. Trying to update for our 55th reunion and I discover that folks with older Windows can't open the pppts file. Is there a version out there I can convert the file to? Is there a way to save the file in an older format? Oh and Windows community page is out of commission as I write.

Thanks,

Cincibuck

Yes if you go to File -> Save As then you can choose the file format and save it into the .ppt format easily (this is the old file extension and should open on older versions). Alternatively you Save As a pdf, but the first would be the easiest and allow the others to open it in Powerpoint.

Note: The above works for all Office programs (.docx/.doc, .xlsx/.xls, .pptx/.ppt, etc...)
