We're going to take another step to keep the ads from affecting site speed in the next few days, so that will be good.

The "openx" url is for the program that we're using to control the ads. The nice thing is that we can switch things around until we get it the way that we want. For example, I think I know which option was slowing things, and just took it out, so we'll know in about 10 minutes if that was it. Couldn't do that sort of tweaking before.

Besides the site loading slow, I just received a popup attempt from the iPhone thread. Will popups be permitted in the new advertising service?

No, certainly not. We can fully expect some early issues though while we get set up with a couple different networks and brand new ad serving software. There's just a lot of 'new' going on at the moment, and Deety is doing an amazing job wrangling it.

The slow loads should stop as soon as we have the ads wrapped in iframes, which I hope to be able to do this week.

Same rules hold from before. No interstitial ads. No pop-ups, pop-unders, ads that expand, play audio, or 'push' anything else similarly invasive without at least a mouse-over. No ads that can result in downloads even with user click. No foreign language ads.

Buckeye videos on Youtube. Testing that in the lower sky position along with basic Google Adsense stuff.

I might have plugged it in before it's ready, but wanted to test some new iframe code.

We're still really feeling our way through getting ads back online without a "hands on" ad partner.

The content was the issue, not the actual YouTube frame being there...I think we could've had some more pleasant vids.
