Advice on going to Purdue for the first time

Hi everybody,

I'm planning to go to the Purdue game. First time going there! My life goal is to visit tOSU at every B1G stadium...expansion is making that harder but more fun (rather visit Seattle than Lincoln!). Purdue will be stadium #8

Since I haven't been have a few questions:
1. Haven't got tickets yet. Is there a section / part of the stadium where more OSU fans will be?
2. It's a noon game. I don't plan on tailgating but I don't want to be rushed going to the game. What time should I get there?
3. Any advice on parking but I'm sure I can figure that part out on my own but I'll take any pointers.
4. Any bar/restaurant where OSU fans go?

thanks!

thanks for the tips. I actually decided to become a member of the Indy OSU alumni club (25 bucks) and then got 2 tickets through them. Also going to their tailgate before the game so that should be fun...
Where are you traveling from? I drove in from Dayton to WL twice for a game expecting to be there at 9am...both times I missed kickoff because the traffic and traffic control was so horrible. So if you want to tailgate before a noon game, leave way early.

Other than that, I enjoyed both times I went to WL. @Thump hit everything that I would say other than I wasn't of drinking age both times I went, so I can't weigh in on #4. Have a great time.

So I had a good time. The Indianapolis OSU alumni club had a great spread - definitely worth the 20 bucks they charged for it. I got there at 9:30 and traffic wasn't a problem at all.
Wasn't expecting much from game atmosphere. But I was pleasantly surprised. The train is cool. I love how they have the train horn as their "thing" - more original and less annoying that the Lion roar or whatever the hell they call that at Penn State.

It’s been a while since I’ve heard that roar in person, I might have trouble distinguishing it from the screams of a 10-to-12 year old boy being raped in the shower.
