After which game will ND's total offense exceed their punting yardage?

I don't think these stats have been posted elsewhere yet, but to show illustrate just how absolutely fucking pathetic Notre Dame's offense is, they rank dead last (#119) in total offense with 115.00 ypg...the next worst team (Florida International) averages 180.33 ypg. And Notre Dame's yards-per-play is not even 2 (1.96 to be exact), while the next worst team (San Jose State) is 3.28 ypp. Notre Dame is no where close to the #118 team in either category...

Hmmm... is this "after game x" or "immediately after game x?" If it's the former, I'll go all in on MSU. Otherwise... not.

I can guess at the answer but BB73 is tricky. :wink2:

It's not immediately. It's up to 6 days after each game (assuming no postponements/rescheduling). And since I'm feeling generous, I'll give you up to 13 days after the USC game.

I looked up some teams on NCAA stats

most teams punt 6 times a game ..... 40 yd ave .... 240 yards

ND offense is only averaging about 130 yds pr game now.

they are punting 350 yds per game

IF they turn things around ....

they should still punt 200 to 250 yds per game

if they start putting up 300 to 400 yds per game ....

they only make up 100 to 150 yds per game .....

and they are already behind 700 yards ....

if they fall any further behind ....

they will never make it ....

if they improve to break even they will never make it .....

if they have 3 to 4 games of break even they will never make it ....

they have a tough schedule of three to five teams where they

should lose ground .....

I went with never as a pretty good bet ....

This is a pretty fun bet to me .....

This vbet should get a GPA.

My brother-in-law just pointed out they may increase the number of turnovers with interceptions and fumbles as they continue their slide into the abyss, thus cutting down on the punt yardage. He thinks they could get so bad, they might catch up.

Nah. Probably not. "Never" is more likely the solid bet.

Stats aren't official yet, but ND got 202 or 203 yards on offense, and punted 9 times for 349. I'll put a running total in post #1 once stats are official tomorrow.
