Ann Arbor tips for THE Game

(o) IoI /o\ (o)

Buckeye stuck in State Penn Country...
Headed to the big outhouse next weekend and I need some help. Does anyone have any tips as far as tailgating and places to eat in Ann Arbor. I am staying in Chelsea, MI and going to both the hockey game on friday night and football game on Saturday.

I have been to happy valley before, twice, so I know the basic rules of being there. Any tips for eating and tailgating would be much appreciated. Look for me on the ten yard line 20 rows up and Go Bucks! OH!

I've never been there for a game.

@BIGBLUEHART Would know. He's been there more times than I've been to The Shoe.

@WolverineMike would know, I'd imagine. He's obviously a big fan.

The golf course across the street from the Stadium and Pioneer High School are the two main tailgating spots. I don't know about cost or when they open though. I just walked through them when I was there for the Minnesota game. Cool atmosphere, but I would imagine it's a bit different for a visiting fan, especially an osu fan.

Zingerman's Deli
The Pizza House
Cottage Inn Pizza

Between those three places, you won't starve

Zingerman's is an absolute must; they also have a Roadhouse which specializes in barbecue.

Skip Cottage Inn Pizza, because it's a chain and you can get that here.

Zingerman's Deli just might be the single most overpriced restaurant I've ever had the misfortune to visit.

Katzinger's is every bit as good at maybe 40% the price. Just don't understand the hype about Zingerman's.
