I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about Anna High School (in Shelby Co.). They are undefeated and have been blowing out opponents. The kid I used to babysit plays for them, but I can never find any stats to see how he is doing.

I saw them play against Covington this year. They are pretty tough. By far the best team in the CCC. They will have some trouble come playoff time because they don't play any competition during the regular season.

BTW... Mods... If you want to change the title of this thread to match the other's, their nickname is the Rockets.

Actually this is a very hotly debated topic around here lately. Anna has done quite well for themselves in their first 5-6 years of football. They won their first ever playoff game this weekend, and would have been lined up to play perennial MAC power Versailles, but they got upset by LCC.....

In regards to how they'll do against Minster and New Bremen and the likes, I think they'll be on the same level as those two, at least at first.

As a whole, I think Anna will help the MAC in that they add another Division V school to a small conference. Falling off Covington's and Arcanum's schedule will make it tougher for those schools ot make the playoffs, which opens more spots for MAC schools, as we're all in the same regions.

i find this fridays game between LCC and anna to be the defining moment to see how competitive anna is. in my opinion i think people are blowing things out of proportion. THIS IS MY OPINION but i didnt see versailles as a team destined to win state this year right from the beginning for numerous reasons. they were exposed by LCC but i think people are overrating LCC now after they underrated them last week. LCC is very easily stoppable and i think this game with anna is going to be interesting because i think anna has a better shot of winning than LCC by the looks of it but i really cant say because i have not seen anna play this year. i think anna will be a mid major in the MAC. i dont think they will be crushed by everybody like everybody thinks. in my opinion i see LCC as a solid enough team to beat everybdoy in the MAC with the exception of coldwater and even then im sure they put up a little fight. i predict a good game between LCC/anna. LCC definitely has their program on the right track but this isnt their year for state. if they get by this game i see them losing to cinci(which i heavily underrated) because cinci walked all over a very solid pleasant team. my pick is still patrick henry in D5, they will have a field day with wayne trace this fri(im saying 54-7). point being......i dont see anna being as bad as everybody is thinking they will be in the MAC. seems as of lately the MAC has either gone down or everybody else has caught up to it and it is no longer as dominant as it has been in previous years. as a matter of fact im calling it right now that no MAC team wins state this year.:wink2:
